What if the problem isn't that we don't know what to do about sustainability, but that we feel too disconnected to act?

We have access to more information than ever. We know about carbon footprints, circular economy, renewable energy. The solutions exist.

But here's what I've noticed: knowing isn't the same as doing. And doing isn't sustainable if it doesn't feel authentic to who we are.

During my 2,000km walk across Spain and Portugal, I realized something. I wasn't just walking toward a destination. I was walking back to myself.

Away from the noise, the should-dos, the overwhelming guilt about not doing enough.

In that simplicity, surrounded by nothing but nature, I found clarity. Not about what I was supposed to care about, but about what I actually cared about. Not about what actions looked good on paper, but about what felt aligned with my values.

Nature doesn't perform sustainability. It just is sustainable. It adapts, flows, regenerates - not because it's trying to be perfect, but because it's connected to its own rhythms and needs.

What if we approached our own sustainable living the same way? Less forcing, more flowing. Less guilt, more curiosity. Less perfection, more connection.

This is why I believe in walking and talking in nature. It's where we remember who we are beneath all the noise. Where we can hear our own voice again, not just the voices telling us what we should do.
