6 Ways to embrace sustainable and circular fashion in your every day life
This week is Fashion Revolution Week, a good time to reflect on how our individual choices can collectively drive change in the fashion industry. This year's theme, "Think Globally, Act Locally," reminds us that small actions, when multiplied across communities, can have a big impact.
Â
Here are six ways you can participate:Â

🧵 Give your clothes a longer life. Check repair cafes for workshops in your community, or check out MENDED an online clothing repair platform.

🧶 Learn About Materials. Understanding fabrics helps make better choices.

👕 Shop and Sell Secondhand. Try platforms like Vinted or if you're based in Amsterdam visit The Swapshop for a sustainable wardrobe refresh.

🛍️ Buy less and choose more consciously. Ask yourself "Do I really need this?" and "how often will I wear this?" before purchasing

👥 Support new systems. Check out platforms where you can rent or trade in clothes instead of buying like Patagonia's Worn Wear Programme. For Amsterdammers, check out LENA the fashion library.

♻️ Support circular fashion brands. Companies like MUD Jeans and Nudie Jeans are leading the way.Â
The more we support these innovators, the more mainstream their practices become.Â
